Carrefour Jordan Concludes its October Campaign to Support The Early Detection Awareness

Amman, Jordan - 29 - December 2020 - Carrefour, which is owned and managed by Majid Al Futtaim in Jordan, concluded its campaign that was launched during October in cooperation with the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) and the Jordan Breast Cancer Program, to support underprivileged women by covering the costs of their mammograms at the King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC).

This campaign was launched in October, in conjunction with the Breast Cancer Early Detection campaign. It encourages customers of Carrefour Jordan to voluntarily add ten piasters or more to their bills at all branches across the country.

On this occasion, Mrs. Nisreen Qatamish, Director General of the KHCF, expressed her appreciation for the role of Carrefour Jordan in instilling the spirit of giving among employees and customers, and encouraging them to support the mission of the KHCF and KHCC, reminding them of the need to spread awareness regarding breast cancer and the importance of conducting early detection examinations that would contribute to saving women's lives and increase the chances of controlling and treating the disease.

For their part, individuals in charge of Carrefour Jordan’s campaign expressed their happiness with its success, explaining that the donations were collected from small amounts that were optionally added to customers' bills, emphasizing that any support, no matter how little, can make a significant difference.

It is worth mentioning that the partnership between Carrefour Jordan and the KHCF started since 2012, through which many successful campaigns have been carried out, and they have all greatly benefited cancer patients in Jordan.

The support provided to the Breast Cancer Early Detection campaign is part of Carrefour Jordan’s strategy and plan, which fall under the community engagement and sustainability programs that include several events and partnerships that are held, launched and announced throughout the year across various governorates.
