Patients Visitation Policies

Dearest Visitor,

We appreciate your keenness to visit your patient, and we value your cooperation with us to maintain the safety of our patients, visitors and workers at the King Hussein Cancer Center.

Some cancer patients are prone to a drop in immunity levels during treatment, which makes them more vulnerable to infectious diseases such as respiratory viruses; especially during winter times. This requires us to be more careful; sterilizing our hands, wearing a mask, and shortening the period we are present in the patient’s vicinity as much as possible.

Guidelines:

  • Abide by our visitation hours and the number of visitors allowed entry at the same time.
  • Visitation hours are:
    • From 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM for medical departments that are allowed to be visited, except the ICU.
    • From 12:00 pm to 3:00 PM for the ICU and the visit is limited to the direct relatives.
    • Visits are prohibited in pediatric departments, bone marrow transplant rooms, and the isolation rooms.
  • Remain in the patient’s room during your visit and refrain from moving between the center’s facilities to prevent disease transmission.
  • No food or drinks allowed from outside the center, as they may carry pathogens.
  • Postpone visiting plans if you suffer from any symptoms; especially respiratory diseases, such as cold or flu.
  • Accompanied children are not allowed on visits.
  • Remember to Log in and out of the visitation system so that others can get the chance to visit their loved ones.

Thank you.
