Residency Programs
Transitional
Transitional Program is a one-year training program that provides a strong clinical foundation for a diverse group of learners preparing to enter advanced residency programs. In KHCC we have the following:
- Internal Medicine: Transitional training program.
- General Surgery: Partially accredited training program (one year) accredited by the Jordanian Medical Council.
- Pediatric: Transitional training program.
Categorical
A categorical program is a residency program in which trainee is accepted directly into the full training track of a specialty from start to finish and qualifies for board exams and certification. In KHCC we have the following:
- Internal Medicine Residency: Four-year specialized training program accredited by the Jordanian Medical Council.
- Nuclear Medicine Residency: Four-year specialized training program accredited by the Jordanian Medical Council as a joint program with the university of Jordan, and the Arab Board for Health Specializations as an independent accreditation of KHCC.
- Diagnostic Radiology Residency: Three-year specialized training program accredited by the Jordanian Medical Council.
- Radiation Oncology Residency: Four-year specialized training program accredited by the Jordanian Medical Council.
- Pathology & Laboratory Medicine Residency: Four-year specialized training program accredited by the Jordanian Medical Council and the Arab Board of Health Specializations.
- Anesthesia Residency: Three years (out of the four) accredited by the Jordanian Medical Council, the residents spend one more year in one of the affiliated hospitals.
- Orthopedic Residency: One-year program accredited by the Jordanian Medical Council.
Fellowship Programs
Accredited
An Accredited program is a training program in which trainee is accepted directly into the full training track of a specialty/ sub-specialty from start to finish and qualifies for board exams and certification. In KHCC we have the following:
- Medical Oncology Fellowship: Three-year program accredited by the Jordanian Medical Council.
- Surgical Oncology Fellowship: Three-year program accredited by the Jordanian Medical Council and the Arab Board of Health Specializations.
- Pediatric / Hematology Oncology Fellowship: Three-year program accredited by the Jordanian Medical Council and the Arab Board of Health Specializations.
- Breast Imaging Fellowship: One-year program accredited by the Arab Board of Health Specializations.
- Palliative Medicine Fellowship: Two-year program accredited by the Jordanian Medical Council and the Arab Board of Health Specializations.
- Oncology Imaging Fellowship: Two-year program accredited by the Arab Board of Health Specializations.
- Critical Care Medicine Fellowship: Two-year program accredited by the Jordanian Medical Council.
- Interventional Radiology Fellowship: Two-year program accredited by the Arab Board of Health Specializations.
- Pulmonary Medicine Fellowship: Three-year program accredited by the Jordanian Medical Council.
- Infectious Diseases Fellowship: Three-year program accredited by the Jordanian Medical Council.
- Thoracic Surgery Fellowship: Three-year program accredited by the Jordanian Medical Council.
Non-Accredited
Non-accredited Program is a training program that provide physicians with advanced training opportunities in subspecialties or niche areas, offering flexibility for those seeking specialized expertise without the formal accreditation. These fellowships typically attract physicians aiming to enhance their skill sets in areas not covered by accredited programs. In KHCC we have the following:
- Pathology & Laboratory Medicine Fellowship: Two-year program.
- Nuclear Medicine Fellowship: One-year Nuclear Oncology & PET/CT program.
- The ICO-ECF Fellowships for Diagnosis and Therapy of Retinoblastoma: Six-month program.
- Radiation Oncology Fellowship: One-year program.
- Psycho-Oncology Fellowship: One-year program.
- Gynecological Oncology Fellowship: Three-year program.
- Neurosurgical Oncology Fellowship: Two-year program.

Process
- An announcement to be published in a newspaper and KHCC's website
- Applicants must register online
- Pay the application fee
- You will receive a notification for the assessment exam with the date and location
- If selected, you will be notified of the interview date and location
