About the psychosocial Oncology Program

The Psychosocial Oncology Program at KHCC recognizes the multifaceted challenges that cancer diagnoses poses to patients, families, and caregivers. These challenges encompass a spectrum of emotions, distress, and suffering that necessitate continuous support. Our program is dedicated to providing counseling, support, and interventions to alleviate suffering, enhance quality of life, and aid patients and families in coping at all stages of their journeys with cancer.

Our program is driven by an interdisciplinary team made up of psychologists, psychosocial counselors, social workers, child life specialists, community service specialists, child development experts, teachers, support group members, and dedicated volunteers. We offer a wide range of psychosocial services to meet the diverse needs of our patients and their families.
