The King Hussein Cancer Foundation Signs MoU with the Electricity Distribution Company (EDCO)

Amman, October 1, 2018 - The King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Electricity Distribution Company (EDCO), under which EDCO generously donated JOD 50,000 to name one of the waiting rooms at the King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC).

The MoU comes as a testament to the great success of “The Naming and Recognition” program, one of KHCF’s programs, which offers individuals and corporates the opportunity for donating Sadaqa Jariah by naming a room or area at KHCC in the name of their choice, spreading a message of hope to the thousands of patients at the center.

The MoU was signed by KHCF Director General Mrs. Nisreen Qatamish and Eng. Hassan Thneibat, Director General of the Electricity Distribution Company.

Mrs. Qatamish expressed her deepest appreciation to EDCO, saying: “We are immensely grateful to the Electricity Distribution Company for its strong faith in our mission. The partnerships being forged through the Naming and Recognition program are all tremendously important to us as this program offers a unique, unparalleled method of support, creating an association between the chosen names and everlasting positivity and hope.”
 

In turn, Eng. Hassan Thneibat stated that the support offered by EDCO comes in-line with its strategy to support local entities, especially those within the healthcare sector, stressing that KHCF has always been committed to excellence and equity in patient care, and deserves all the support and recognition.
Eng. Thneibat added that EDCO remains dedicated to providing all aspects of care and support for health, education and cultural programs within local communities, reiterating the importance of achieving sustainable development that reflects positively on the areas of the company’s work as well as on various national institutions.
