The King Hussein Cancer Foundation Honors The Ministry of Education for Supporting the “Piggy Bank Campaign”

The King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) held a ceremony to honor the Ministry of Education for its support of the CSR programs launched by the foundation, including the 2018-2019 Piggy Bank Campaign. The event also included a team from the ministry and the directorates of education and schools.
 
This came during the honoring ceremony held in the presence of Mrs. Nisreen Qatamish, Director General of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation, Dr. Balsam Al Ma’aytah, Head of the Institutional Performance Department at the Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Education Directorates team (Liaison Officers) who contributed to the success of the campaign and spared no effort in spreading awareness and encouraging schools to participate in the campaign.
 
Mrs. Nisreen Qatamish praised all school principals, teachers and students, whose efforts resulted in the collection of 62,200,33 JDs during the first semester and 47,888 JDs during the second semester, especially the students who contributed using their own pocket money, even if by a small amount, in order to help cancer patients receive treatment.
 
To conclude the ceremony, Mrs. Nisreen Qatamish thanked the Ministry of Education and its distinguished team for their great efforts in supporting this campaign, stressing the importance of such partnerships that connect students with their local community and raise awareness regarding the significance of supporting cancer patients, wherein solidarity amongst different sectors is crucial in the fight against cancer and saving the lives of our patients.
