Aqaba, September 30, 2025 – HRH Princess Ghida Talal, Chairperson of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) and Center (KHCC), met with partners from the governorates of Ma’an, Tafileh, and Aqaba, as well as beneficiaries and supporters of the Jordan Breast Cancer Program (JBCP), which operates under the leadership and support of KHCF.
During the meeting, Princess Ghida emphasized the importance of regular screenings for the early detection of breast cancer, saying: "I call upon our women to make early breast cancer screening a top priority. It is no longer acceptable for us to lose our women needlessly due to fear or stigma surrounding cancer."
JBCP provides comprehensive services to women in the southern region of the Kingdom, including health education and facilitated access to screening sites. Specially designated buses are organized to transport women from various southern governorates to the Early Detection Unit in Aqaba, ensuring they receive the best possible medical services.

Miguel de Lucas González, Ambassador of Spain to Jordan, representing the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID). His attendance reaffirmed the agency’s recent support to JBCP through a dedicated grant aimed at enhancing awareness and promoting early detection of breast and cervical cancer.
