National Poultry Company Concludes Fundraising Campaign Supporting KHCC's Patients
Amman, April 4, 2021 - The National Poultry Company concluded a fundraising campaign that was organized in cooperation with the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF), with the aim of raising funds to support the treatment of underprivileged cancer patients at the King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC).
The campaign was initially launched in June 2020, wherein the National Poultry Company donated one penny for the price of each chicken sold.
Mrs. Nisreen Qatamish, Director General of the KHCF, said: "We thank the National Poultry Company for this kind initiative that demonstrates social responsibility, and contributes to achieving social solidarity, while instilling the spirit of giving and raising awareness on the importance of combating cancer."
Director General of the National Poultry Company, Mr. Ahmed Abdul Kareem Al-Raoud, commended the KHCF’s great efforts in providing cancer patients with the needed support to have ample treatment, and for continuously raising awareness on this disease and the importance of early detection.
Al-Raoud stressed that the launch of this campaign stems from the company’s national and social responsibility strategy, which aims to support local non-profit organizations with noble goals and humanitarian values, the most prominent of which being the KHCC.
