King Hussein Cancer Foundation Signs MOU with Aqaba Container Terminal

The King Hussein Cancer Foundation and Aqaba Container Terminal signed a memorandum of understanding under which Aqaba Container Terminal will support in KHCF’s Naming and Recognition Program by naming a chemotherapy unit in the Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan building at the King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC). The donation will be ongoing “Sadaqa” covering infrastructure at KHCC.

The memorandum was signed by the Director General of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation, Mrs. Nisreen Qatamish, and the CEO of Aqaba Container Terminal, Mr. Soren Kofoed Jensen.

Mrs. Nisreen Qatamish thanked Aqaba Container Terminal for their support, saying, "We are grateful that Aqaba Container Terminal is standing by us. They have a valued role in supporting our humanitarian mission, and we are happy to have their partnership through the Naming and Recognition Program which represents the true meaning of giving. Solidarity among all sectors in society is crucial in fighting and combating cancer.

Mr. Soren Kofoed Jensen said: "This donation is an extension of our multi-pronged support to the King Hussein Cancer Foundation, which comes from our keenness to support the KHCF’ mission and goals within the framework of our social responsibility strategy, which considers health care as one of its most important pillars. This noble-purpose spending is added to the investment share that we monitored to implement various community initiatives and programs individually or in partnership with a network of civil society organizations.”
