KHCF Signs MOU With Kuwait’s Nama’a Charity

Amman, June 2023 – The King Hussein Cancer Foundation’s (KHCF) Director General, Mrs. Nisreen Qatamish and Mr. Saad Al-Otaibi, CEO Nama'a Charity of the Kuwaiti Social Welfare Association signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to establish the Nama'a Charity Fund. The Fund will help cover the treatment costs of underprivileged cancer patients at the King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC), including those from Gaza.

Mrs. Nisreen Qatamish stated, “We appreciate the generous and continuous support from the sisterly state of Kuwait, and we thank Nama’a Charity for bringing hope to the hearts of our patients. This support enables us to provide the best comprehensive treatment for our patients from different Arab nations.”

Mr. Saad Al-Otaibi also said, "High quality health care is one of the strategic development goals of the New Kuwait 2035 plan, and Nama'a Charity aims to partner with other organizations to implement humanitarian and development projects with quality and effectiveness. We believe this cooperation agreement with KHCF to treat underprivileged cancer patients directly demonstrates that ‘we care about people’ – our mission and commitment to the community.”

It is important to note that Nama'a Charity has been a pioneer in developmental humanitarian work for more than 44 years in Kuwait. Its mission is to support underprivileged people and those in need, including orphans and the sick, by giving in-kind and monetary aid, and it strives to build people up and revive communities.
