KHCF Signs MOU with ABB Ltd Jordan
The King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with ABB Ltd Jordan to support KHCF’s Goodwill Fund, which covers the treatment for underprivileged cancer patients at the King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC).
The MoU was signed by Mrs. Nisreen Qatamish, Director General of KHCF, and Mr. Tariq Al-Awwad, Chairman of ABB Ltd Jordan, in the presence of Mr. Basem Anshasi, Vice Chairman of the company.
Mrs. Qatamish expressed her appreciation for ABB Ltd Jordan’s support, stating: “This partnership reflects the Company’s deep sense of humanitarianism and social responsibility. We are truly grateful for their ongoing support, which strengthens our mission in the fight against cancer and helps ease the suffering of our patients.”
Mr. Al-Awwad emphasized the company’s commitment to making a meaningful impact, saying: “We, at ABB Ltd Jordan, take great pride in our partnership with KHCF and in playing an active role in providing cancer patients with access to life-saving treatment. Signing this MoU is part of our corporate social responsibility, as we firmly believe in contributing positively to the communities in which we operate. Supporting such humanitarian initiatives is a duty we all share, and we look forward to being part of the ongoing efforts to save lives and alleviate patients' hardships.”
Established in 2003, KHCF’s Goodwill Fund helps cover treatment costs for underprivileged cancer patients who have no financial means and no other source of funding. With the average treatment cost per patient—without complications—reaching approximately 30,000 Jordanian dinars, the fund supports patients in need, regardless of nationality, age, or gender.
