KHCF Signs Agreement with Jordan Insurance Company
Amman, May 2025 — The King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) has signed a cooperation agreement with the Jordan Insurance Company (JIC) to offer Cancer Care Insurance (CCI) as one of the available insurance options. This insurance ensures immediate treatment initiation at the King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC) with no waiting time or procedural delays.
The agreement was signed by Mrs. Nisreen Qatamish, Director General of KHCF, and Mr. Jawad M. Janeb, General Manager of Jordan Insurance Company (JIC), in the presence of Mr. Othman Bdeir, Chairman of the Board of Jordan Insurance Company.
Mrs. Qatamish described the agreement as a vital step toward expanding access to CCI, which provides guaranteed, comprehensive, high-quality cancer care exclusively at KHCC, and allows patients to focus fully on their healing journey without the added burden of financial stress.
Mr. Janeb emphasized the strategic importance of this agreement in the company’s mission to strengthen the national healthcare insurance system. “We are proud to partner with KHCF and KHCC — a leading medical institution — to provide fast, reliable access to specialized cancer treatment. Through this partnership, we aim to promote the concept of insurance as a tool for empowerment and sustainable community care.”
CCI is a nonprofit, social Takaful insurance that covers the cost of cancer treatment at KHCC for subscribers of all ages and nationalities. It remains the only insurance in Jordan that guarantees patient admission to KHCC for treatment.
