KHCF Signs Agreement with Jassim Mohammad Al-Bahar Charity Foundation

Amman, 23 July 2023 – The King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) signed an agreement with The Jassim Mohammad Al-Bahar Charity Foundation in Kuwait who will donate funds to support the treatment of underprivileged cancer patients and refugees at the King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC).

The agreement was signed by Mrs. Nisreen Qatamish, Director General of KHCF, and Mr. Ahmed Shiha, Director General of the Jassim Mohammad Al-Bahar Charity Foundation.

KHCF and the Jassim Mohammad Al-Bahar Charity Foundation have been partners since 2019, when the Jassim Mohammad Al-Bahar Charity Foundation established the “Bahar Fund”. Since then, the fund has covered the treatment costs for 46 cancer patients.

Commenting on this strategic partnership, Mrs. Qatamish said: “We value this humanitarian support, which is an extension of the strategic partnerships that unite the King Hussein Cancer Foundation with loyal supporters from Kuwait. We also thank the Jassim Mohammad Al-Bahar Charity Foundation for its continuous commitment to cancer patients, and for giving them the opportunity to receive the best comprehensive treatment at one of the most important cancer centers in the region.”

For his part, Dr. Shiha said: "The renewal of our agreement with the King Hussein Cancer Foundation comes from the humanitarian role of the late Jassim bin Mohammed Al-Bahar, in appreciation of our partnership with KHCF, and our commitment to standing by underprivileged patients and refugees hosted by the the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, which formed a safe shelter for its brothers and sisters from neighboring countries until their percentage among the local population reached more than 30%."
