KHCF Launches Colorectal Cancer Awareness Project in Jordan’s Southern Governorates

Amman, July – The King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) has launched a colorectal cancer awareness project in Jordan’s southern governorates of Aqaba, Ma’an, and Tafilah, with the support of the Jordan Kuwait Bank as the project’s strategic partner. The initiative aims to promote awareness of cancer prevention and the importance of early detection.

The bank’s support for the second consecutive year reflects its commitment to social responsibility and supporting health initiatives that promote awareness and improve health education.

The project’s first activities were held in Aqaba, where KHCF organized an awareness day featuring educational booths, interactive activities, and family-oriented programs. The event aimed to educate the community about colorectal cancer, risk factors, and the importance of screening and early detection.

Mrs. Nisreen Qatamish, Director General of KHCF, expressed her appreciation for the partnership with Jordan Kuwait Bank, noting that its continued support reflects a strong commitment to social responsibility. She highlighted the importance of raising awareness about colorectal cancer, one of the cancers that can be prevented and detected at early stages, and emphasized KHCF’s efforts to reach communities across Jordan and encourage healthy behaviors and timely screenings.

Buttikhi, CEO of Jordan Kuwait Bank Group, said the initiative represents an extension of the strategic partnership with KHCF and supports sustainable awareness programs that reach diverse segments of society. He added that investing in prevention is key to building a healthier community and encouraging individuals to adopt healthy habits and undergo regular screenings.
