KHCF Launches Campaign Supporting Cancer Patients in Gaza
Amman, July 8, 2021 – The King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) announced the launch of a campaign supporting cancer patients in Gaza under the name of “Give Life to Gaza” in response to the recent events witnessed in the strip, as patients suffer from shortages in crucial medication and a battered health sector, all caused by tight restrictions and the ongoing siege imposed on the strip.
KHCF stated that there are currently 83 patients -from diferent nationalities- on the foundation’s goodwill funds waiting lists. These funds aim to offer a chance for a holistic treatment for the financially incapable among patients in King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC).
Regarding that, Mrs. Nisreen Qatamish, Director General of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation stated, “Patients in Gaza suffer from a compounded burden today, caused by the siege. We must stand by their side and support access to holistic treatment for them, as cancer does not wait nor does it acknowledge any circumstances”
