KHCF Honours Private Schools for Their Role in Fighting Cancer

Amman, September 2026 – The King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) honored a number of leading private schools in recognition of their significant contributions and pioneering role in supporting the Foundation’s various programs and activities, foremost among them the “Save a Life” initiative, supported by Bank al Etihad, the initiative’s strategic partner.

Mrs. Nisreen Qatamish, Director General of KHCF, expressed her appreciation and gratitude to the schools, commending their active role in supporting the Foundation’s efforts and raising awareness of the importance of cancer prevention. She noted that partnerships with the education sector represent an important model of community collaboration, given the pivotal role schools play in instilling values of giving and social responsibility among younger generations. She also highlighted the tangible impact of contributions from students, teaching staff, and administrative teams in supporting and standing alongside cancer patients.

She added that the “Save a Life” initiative exemplifies the importance of bringing together institutions from across society in support of KHCF’s mission, strengthening its ability to continue providing services and healthcare programs to patients, while promoting a culture of cancer awareness and prevention.

For their part, representatives of the schools expressed their pride in participating in KHCF’s humanitarian initiatives, reaffirming their strong commitment to continuing their support for cancer awareness and prevention programs.
