KHCF Concludes “Towards Life” Campaign with Support from Zain
Amman, March 2025 – The King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) concluded its annual “Towards Life” campaign, launched each year during the holy month of Ramadan with support from Zain Jordan, to encourage community members to support underprivileged cancer patients receiving treatment at the King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC).
Zain enabled its subscribers to contribute by sending a text message containing the word “حياة” or “Life” to 97070 to donate one Jordanian dinar, or to 97075 to donate five Jordanian dinars, helping expand community participation in supporting patients and providing treatment.
Mrs. Nisreen Qatamish, Director General of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF), expressed her appreciation to Zain for its continued support and valued partnership, noting that the collaboration reflects an effective model of joint efforts to save the lives of cancer patients and expand access to treatment, while also demonstrating the company’s commitment to humanitarian causes and social responsibility.
Zain stated that its support stems from the long-standing strategic partnership with KHCF, which represents a successful example of cooperation between the private sector and humanitarian institutions to enhance treatment opportunities for underprivileged cancer patients and ease the burden on them and their families. The company added that its continued annual support for the campaign reflects its commitment to supporting the healthcare sector and charitable initiatives in Jordan as part of its sustainability and corporate social responsibility programs.
“Towards Life” campaign is launched alongside the annual “Your Zakat is my Life” campaign during Ramadan, which aims to support patients on the waiting lists at the King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC) who lack coverage for their treatment costs.
KHCF has received an official fatwa from the Jordanian Iftaa Council permitting it to receive Zakat funds and direct them to support cancer patients.
