KHCF and RSCN Sign Agreement to Support Underprivileged Cancer Patient Treatment
Amman, October 2026 – The King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) has signed a cooperation agreement with the Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature (RSCN) to help fund cancer treatment for underprivileged patients at the King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC).
Under the agreement, RSCN will produce a collection of locally handcrafted products featuring designs created exclusively for KHCF, with proceeds from sales going towards supporting patients’ treatment. The initiative brings together humanitarian action and support for local production, highlighting the role of national partnerships in creating a lasting, positive impact on communities.
The agreement was signed by Mrs. Nisreen Qatamish, Director General of KHCF, and Mr. Fadi Al Naser, Director General of RSCN.
Mrs. Qatamish emphasized the importance of coordinated national efforts to support cancer patients in need, noting that KHCF continues to expand its partnerships across sectors and develop innovative, sustainable initiatives to mobilize support and help ensure patients receive the treatment and care they need.
She added: “At the King Hussein Cancer Foundation, we believe that supporting cancer patients is a shared national responsibility. Effective partnerships create new opportunities for people across society to make a real difference in patients’ lives. This partnership is particularly meaningful because it combines support for patients with investment in local producers, reinforcing the values of solidarity, mutual support, and social responsibility,”
For his part, Mr. Fadi Al Naser highlighted the value of using locally handcrafted products to support humanitarian causes and empower local communities. He noted that RSCN is committed to developing initiatives that preserve Jordan’s natural and cultural heritage while strengthening the social and economic well-being of communities surrounding nature reserves.
“We believe that environmental sustainability is closely linked to empowering local communities and strengthening their role in development. Through this partnership, we aim to extend the humanitarian impact of our handcrafted products, helping fund treatment for underprivileged cancer patients while enabling local communities to sustain their production, develop their skills, and preserve their traditional crafts. In doing so, we bring the values of solidarity and social responsibility to life,” Mr. Al Naser added.
