KHCF and Qatar Fund for Development Sign Agreement to Support Cancer Patients from Gaza

Doha: In the presence of HRH Princess Ghida Talal, Chairperson of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) and Center (KHCC), and Sheikh Thani bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD), KHCF signed a partnership agreement with QFFD valued at USD 5 million during the Doha Forum 2025.

The agreement aims to support cancer patients from Gaza by covering the costs of their treatment at KHCC, in addition to providing psychological and social support services for patients and their families, helping alleviate the psychological challenges associated with the different stages of treatment.

On this occasion, HRH Princess Ghida said: “Qatar is among the world’s leading supporters of humanitarian causes, with a long and honorable record in providing relief to cancer patients and those affected by wars and disasters. At the King Hussein Cancer Center, we take great pride in our strong partnership with the Qatar Fund for Development, represented by its Chairman, His Excellency Sheikh Thani bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.”

The agreement was signed by H.E. Mr. Fahad bin Hamad Al Sulaiti, Director General of QFFD, and Mrs. Nisreen Qatamish, Director General of KHCF.

This latest cooperation between Jordan and Qatar reflects their commitment to supporting regional stability and achieving sustainable development that addresses the needs of the most vulnerable, paving the way for a more inclusive and prosperous future.
