KHCC Earns Full AAHRPP Accreditation

King Hussein Cancer Center in Amman, Jordan has received full AAHRPP accreditation from the Association for the Accreditation of Human Research Protection Programs, Inc., (AAHRPP) Council a prestigious accreditation scheme that is considered the international golden seal of excellence in clinical research, and assures that our research operations meet rigorous standards for quality and human subject protection.

AAHRPP Council’s evaluation of King Hussein Cancer Center included site visit by AAHRPP appraisers to validate that the practices implemented conform to our written policies and procedures.

By obtaining AAHRPP accreditation, we join an elite group of institutions internationally renowned for promoting exceptional ethical and quality standards in the conduct of human subject research.

On a global level, very few Cancer Centers are AAHRPP accredited and only six in the US; KHCC is placed as the 8th Cancer Center worldwide (including the US) to achieve this prestigious accreditation.

This recognition will further add to the quality patient care that we always take pride in achieving excellence in our clinical research operations and yields a competitive edge with peers, sponsors and other funders while fostering public trust and confidence in clinical research at KHCC.

In today’s global, collaborative research environment, organizations increasingly rely on AAHRPP accreditation status to help identify trusted research partners. This will allow our patients access to new drugs and interventions in the context of well-designed and ethically conducted clinical trials and provide them the opportunity to try new treatment options while contributing to advance knowledge and fight against cancer.

This success wouldn’t have been possible without the dedication and commitment that each and every member of our big family demonstrates and cherishes.
