Bank al Etihad Becomes Strategic Partner of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation
Amman, September 2019 - As a continuation of the strategic partnership between the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) and Bank al Etihad, and the family values on which the bank was built, the bank has expanded its partnership with the Foundation for a period of 3 years beginning next year, wherein it will become a major supporter of both the Piggy Bank Campaign and the Run For Life Initiatives for schools.
The agreement was signed by Mrs. Nisreen Qatamish, Director General of the KHCF, and Mrs. Nadia Al Saeed, Chief Executive Officer of Bank al Etihad, who accentuated the importance of this partnership and the bank's desire to expand the scheme of support for the KHCF and KHCC’s noble mission, and the need to sustain these noble efforts as she stressed that the bank is vigorously working with its community within the framework of its social responsibility and considers the support of the Foundation and Center an integral part of it.
The Piggy Bank Campaign and Run For Life initiatives are targeted towards youths, encouraging them to engage in volunteer work and philanthropy. The Piggy Bank Campaign encourages students to make donations through coin boxes that are placed in their schools throughout the year, wherein the Run For Life allows students to participate in a non-competitive school race to raise funds for underprivileged cancer patients at the KHCC.
Regarding this cooperation, Ms. Nisreen Qatamish expressed her appreciation of the bank’s support, as it reflects the extent of its interest in the cause and spreading cancer awareness, stating that: “We thank Bank al Etihad for this strategic partnership and we appreciate the support of the public and private sector, and their role in backing our programs, which have a significant impact in helping our patients and saving their lives.”.
