Agreement Between Social Security Corporation and KHCF Providing CCI For Subscribers and Retirees

The Social Security Corporation (SSC) and the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) signed an agreement to provide Cancer Care Insurance (CCI) for corporates, individuals and SSC retirees.

The agreement was signed by Director General of the SSC, Dr. Hazem Al Rahahla, and Mrs. Nisreen Qatamish, Director General of the KHCF.

Dr. Hazem Al Rahahla, said that the signing of this agreement is based on the SSC’s keenness to provide quality services to its members and retirees, which further amplifies its existing social security system, indicating that the SSC has provided an online platform on its website for the CCI program, allowing people to easily enroll in the insurance.

He also praised the efforts of the KHCF as a national foundation devoted to combating cancer in Jordan and the region, as well as its endeavors to strengthen partnerships with institutions and national companies to achieve its noble mission, indicating that the SSC will launch a media campaign in cooperation with the KHCF to introduce this insurance program.

Director General of the KHCF, Mrs. Nisreen Qatamish, explained the importance of this partnership in reducing the financial burden of cancer treatment on patients and their families by adopting a participatory model that guarantees access to premium health care services that are in line with the expectations of citizens, in addition to sustainability in providing the necessary funding for cancer treatment through an inclusive interdependent approach.

Qatamish emphasized that the national adoption of the CCI program is a real step and trial phase that can be built upon towards achieving comprehensive health coverage, adding that this program, which is supervised by the KHCF, provides insurance coverage for cancer treatment exclusively at the King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC).

Under the agreement, the SSC is committed to providing an electronic platform to facilitate the process of receiving CCI applications through its website - www.ssc.gov.jo, in addition to providing retirees with the option of paying the annual subscription fees from their pension salaries through installments.
