Dr. Nour Awad

 Dr. Nour Awad is the Chief Experience Officer at the King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC). Her role is to ensure that patients seeking medical care at KHCC experience a pleasant, smooth, and timely interaction with caregivers by coordinating related medical and supportive services. To accomplish this goal, she maintains a relationship with departments providing care to patients, while overseeing the following departments: Information and Communication Technology Department, Patient Journey and Health Information Department, International Patients’ Office, Environmental Services Department and Hospitality Services Department.  Dr. Awad is also a member of KHCC’s Executive Council, Medical Board, Pharmacy and Therapeutic Committee, the Patient-Centered Care Committee, ICT Steering Committee, Medical Records Committee, among many other roles.

Dr. Awad has particular interest in lean management, waste reduction and quality improvement. She received KHCC’s distinguished Lean Project Award in 2016. In addition, Dr. Awad is engaged in advancing patient-centered care through the introduction of IT solutions which enhance patients’ access to critical sources of information relevant to their care. 

Dr. Awad joined KHCC in 2004 as a pharmacist and is proud to have been a part of the team who established the department to become a state-of-the-art hospital pharmacy. She assumed various leadership roles overseeing inpatient, outpatient, and chemotherapy pharmacies. She advanced further within the department of pharmacy managing both the clinical and operational pharmacy sections as the Clinical Affairs Manager between 2014 and 2018.

Dr. Awad earned her B.Sc. in Pharmacy from the University of Jordan in 2003 and an MBA from Talal AbuGhazaleh School of Business, German- Jordanian University in 2013.
