Eng. Dana Nashawati

Dana Nashawati holds a Master’s of Engineering in Industrial and Systems Engineering, Operation Research from the University of Florida. She has extensive experience regarding Quality Management in healthcare and is the Director of the Quality Management and Patient Safety Office at the King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC) in Amman, Jordan. 

Since 2011, Eng. Dana has orchestrated the work of the Quality Management and Patient Safety Office, including overseeing the pursuit of various accreditations and certifications, performance monitoring, policies and procedure management and focusing on improvement projects and initiatives using the tools of operations management, systems thinking and analytics, risk management, resource optimization and sustainability. She takes a multidisciplinary approach, working across numerous departments and units to improve the standards of work for better patient safety and quality. 

Eng. Dana has been instrumental as a change agent in the Lean Initiative at KHCC, where Lean Management has been taking root in the culture since 2015. The KHCC Lean Management experience received national and international recognition and continues the cycle of improvement at all levels of KHCC’s governance.
