Master of Science in Cancer Care Informatics
King Hussein Cancer Center – Academy for Education & Training
University of Jordan - School of Pharmacy
About the Program
Launched in 2019 as the world’s first master’s degree dedicated to Cancer Care Informatics (CCI), our MSc blends rigorous academic study with hands-on research inside one of the Middle East’s leading comprehensive cancer centers. Students learn to turn data, digital platforms, and AI into more intelligent, safer and more compassionate oncology care.
Our Mission
To graduate Cancer Care Informaticians who can join multidisciplinary teams and use data-driven thinking to raise the efficiency of clinical workflows, enhance each patient’s experience and push the boundaries of evidence-based cancer treatment.
Program Highlights
- Practical AI projects: Learn to bring healthcare innovations to life through planning, careful deployment, and continuous assessment.
- In-person training gives students a chance to interact with the teaching staff and learn from the experts.
- Live data labs – access to KHCC’s de-identified clinical, imaging, and genomic datasets.
- Responsible-AI focus – mandatory bias audits and privacy-by-design projects.
Learning Outcomes
Graduates will be able to:
- Diagnose informatics challenges in real-world cancer care and articulate constraints facing clinicians, patients, and policy-makers.
- Design enterprise information strategies—encompassing architecture, usability, quality governance, and requirements engineering—that cater to complex oncology settings.
- Apply informatics ethically in national and international contexts, respecting legal, social, and professional obligations.
- Optimize care pathways using timely, reliable, and complete data while balancing cost, equity, and supportive care requirements.
- Conduct publishable research through advanced methods, open-science tooling, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
