King Hussein Cancer Foundation Honors Carrefour for its efforts through Ramadan Campaign
Amman, September 2018: The King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) honored Majid Al Futtaim, the leading shopping mall, communities, retail and leisure pioneer across the Middle East, Africa and Asia, which holds the exclusive franchise rights to operate the Carrefour brand, for its continued support for the KHCF through Ramadan Campaign.
This fruitful partnership has started since 2012, by adding 10 Paisters to the bills of Carrefour’s customers who wish to participate in the campaign. During last Ramadan, Carrefour Jordan collected JD 130,000 in donations, which were allocated to further support the under privileged cancer patients receiving treatment at the King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC).
The ceremony was held in the presence of Mr. Alain Enjalbert, Country Manager of Carrefour Jordan, and Mrs. Nisreen Qatamish, KHCF Director General.
Mrs. Nisreen Qatamish expressed her thanks to Majid Al Futtaim, saying, "We are proud of our fruitful partnership with Majid Al Futtaim for the seventh year in a row, and we appreciate the remarkable cooperation by Carrefour's cashiers. We also value the unrelenting support Carrefour's dedicated customers have been providing to the King Hussein Cancer Foundation and Center, reflecting their belief in our mission to save the lives of cancer patients."
For his part, Mr. Alain Enjalbert, Country Manager of Carrefour Jordan, said, "Majid Al Futtaim's commitment to helping and supporting people in need is just as important as our commitment to establishing our presence in Jordan. Our long partnership with KHCF has contributed to the Center's goals through the generous contributions of our customers. This reflects the cohesion within the Jordanian society, which we are proud to be part of."
