HRH Princess Ghida Talal Welcomes IAEA Director General at King Hussein Cancer Center

Amman, May, 2017: HRH Princess Ghida Talal, Chairperson of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation and Center, received the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), H.E. Mr. Yukiya Amano, at the King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC). During the visit, HRH Princess Ghida and H.E. Mr. Amano discussed the IAEA’s areas of cooperation with the Center, and toured the KHCC's new building and facilities, showcasing the advanced treatment provided by the Center to cancer patients.

 

Princess Ghida paid tribute to H.E. Mr. Amano for the IAEA's generous donation to support the purchase of the SPECT CT Scan device for the Center.

On this occasion, HRH Princess Ghida said: "I would like to extend my thanks to the IAEA for supporting the King Hussein Cancer Center by developing the technologies used to treat our patients at the Center."
The meeting was attended by Dr. Asem Mansour, KHCC Director General.
