Amman, April 2018: HRH Princess Ghida Talal, Chairperson of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) and Center (KHCC), took part in a special session organized by the Jordanian Alumni Association for British Chevening Scholarships and British Universities Alumni Association, under the title "King Hussein Cancer Foundation and Center: From a Jordanian Dream to a Global Achievement.”

HRH Princess Ghida took part in a one to one session in which she said: "I would like to thank the Jordanian Alumni Association for British Chevening Scholarships and British Universities Alumni Association for their initiative to throw light on the pioneering success story of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation and Center in the region. It is a source of pride for all Jordanians thanks to the comprehensive treatment offered by the Center for cancer patients from Jordan and the Arab world.”

The KHCC, which already has strong links with counterpart hospitals in the UK, stands for all that is best in Jordan; and we look forward to taking its relationship with the UK to the next level”.

On this occasion, Edward Oakden, UK's ambassador to Jordan, said: “When there is so much conflict and uncertainty in the region, it is especially important that our two countries stand up for our common values: of decency, inclusion, tolerance and diversity, with full and equal roles for women. We also share a common commitment to excellence.

No group better epitomizes this approach and these values in Jordan than the British Universities Alumni Association and our Chevening Scholars. And no institution better embodies them than the King Hussein Cancer Center, under the outstanding leadership of Her Royal Highness Princess Ghida Al Talal.”
