Esteemed Kuwaiti Delegation Visits King Hussein Cancer Center

Amman, 3 March, 2019 - The King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC) yesterday hosted an esteemed delegation from the State of Kuwait headed by His Excellency Mr. Marzooq Al-Ghanim, President of the Kuwaiti National Assembly, to learn about the latest comprehensive medical services provided by the center to cancer patients who come from various Arab countries.
 
The Kuwaiti delegation was received by Dr. Asem Mansour, Director General of the King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC), and Mrs. Nisreen Qatamish, Director General of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF). The delegation included Ms. Maha Al-Barjas, Secretary General of the Kuwait Red Crescent Society, Ambassador Aziz Al-Dehani, Ambassador of Kuwait to Jordan, Dr. Mohammed Al-Hadid, Chairman of the Jordan Red Crescent Society and members of the Kuwaiti House of Representatives.
 
"The visit of the President of the Kuwaiti National Assembly, His Excellency Mr. Marzouq Al-Ghanim, and his accompanying delegation to the King Hussein Cancer Center demonstrates the faith of our Kuwaiti brothers and sisters in this great edifice that has become a destination for our Arab brothers and sisters, the ill and the well, wherein they seldom failed to display their emotional and financial support to the center”, adding that:  "The King Hussein Cancer Center, one of the leading cancer treatment facilities in the world, is a prominent establishment in cancer education, training and control".
 
Mrs. Nisreen Qatamish praised the active role played by the State of Kuwait in supporting the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) through years of strategic partnerships, and  generosity towards patients of various Arab nationalities, giving them the opportunity to receive world-class treatment. She also expressed her deep appreciation for the humanitarian role of the Kuwait Red Crescent Society, especially in supporting Syrian refugee patients receiving treatment at the center.
