A device that converts mechanical vibrations into thermal energy, liquefying the orthopedic cement. This facilitates selective cement removal, preserves bone, decreases cortical perforation risk, and eliminates the need for osteotomy.
This technology is very important to help us treat more patients who will need revision for their surgeries, to improve surgical outcomes and preserve more tissue, eliminating the need for an osteotomy. This device will be used repeatedly for our patients, and we expect to use it on 5 to 10 patients per year.
