A Tympanic Thermometer is a small, handheld device with a probe that is inserted into the patient's ear canal, to measure their temperature. Tympanic thermometers are quick and generally comfortable for both children and adults.
Tympanic thermometers will be used for all adult and pediatric patients in the intensive care units, which contain 20 patient rooms. They are easy to use and give fast, accurate results to help aid diagnosis and determine the appropriate course of action by medical practitioners.
