This Colonoscope has combination of three proprietary technologies: PB (Passive Bending), HFT (High Force Transmission), and Variable Stiffness. These technologies work together to improve ease of insertion and operator control, which help to minimize patient discomfort and enhance procedural efficiency especially in interventional procedures.
This scope has a slim diameter as well as water jet function. It is ideal for interventional colonoscopy procedures such as endoscopic mucosal resection and endoscopic submucosal dissection. Currently, none of the scopes in KHCC’s anesthesia department has a slim design and water jet at the same time; the Center currently uses a larger scope that has a water jet function, but this certainly has a disadvantage in regard to failed procedures or increased adverse events.
