At the King Hussein Cancer Center, your child is in safe, loving hands.
We understand how difficult and devastating a childhood cancer diagnosis is, and our job is to make the treatment and recovery process as comfortable as possible for your child and your family.
Childhood cancer is very different from adult cancer, and as a result, pediatric patients at KHCC are treated by a very specialized team of doctors who have the necessary knowledge and experience in treating childhood cancers.
Our pediatric oncologists work hand in hand with a multidisciplinary team of health professionals that also include radiologists, pathologists, surgeons, psychologists and nurse coordinators to ensure that pediatric patients at KHCC receive personalized, well-rounded care that is in line with the latest and most-up-to-date cancer treatment protocols.
We treat all types of childhood cancers. In the event of certain rare cases of cancer and a second opinion is needed, we utilize our telemedicine and telesynergy facilities to communicate medical issues with our world-renowned partners such as St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center and Sick Children’s Hospital.
Your child's emotional well-being is just as important to us as their physical well-being, and we have several supportive programs in place, such as our Summer Camp, Play Therapy and Dreams Come True Programs to nurture our pediatric patients, help them take their mind off treatment and enjoy just being kids. We also have an educational program to help your child keep up with schoolwork while receiving treatment.
