LIVESTRONG Foundation

The LIVESTRONG Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides support for people affected by cancer, founded in 1997 by cancer survivor and champion cyclist Lance Armstrong. The LIVESTRONG Foundation states that its mission is 'to inspire and empower' cancer sufferers and their families and also aims to provide practical information and tools for cancer sufferers via public health and research.

In 2011, KHCF collaborated with LIVESTRONG in the production of a short film, Delivering Hope: Cancer Care in the Developing World. This film is an inspirational documentary that clearly demonstrates that despite the challenges of low- and middle-income countries, quality cancer care can be achieved. With some ingenuity, true partnerships, and hard work, this short film shows that we can bring quality comprehensive cancer care to the entire developing world. The film features a cancer survivor who was treated at KHCC, as well as short segments with her Royal Highnesses Princesses Ghida Talal.
