King Hussein Cancer Center Tobacco Dependence Treatment Training
KHCC’s program is the only program outside the USA to receive full accreditation from the Council for Tobacco Treatment Training Programs (CTTTP) . Healthcare providers completing this program receive certification as Tobacco Treatment Specialists (TTS). For more details about the program download our brochure.
As the regional partner for Global Bridges, the Cancer Control Office at King Hussein Cancer Center trained more than 2,000 individuals from the region on Tobacco dependence Treatment (TDT) in the past five years. Trainees include healthcare professionals, students of medicine and pharmacy, and tobacco control advocates.
The next workshop is scheduled in Amman, Jordan during the period of March 18-22, 2018.
Workshop fees is 750 USD, and the registration ends on February 18th, 2018. To benefit from early bird fees registration (600 USD), please make sure to register and pay the fees by end of December 30, 2017.

Arabic Online Tobacco Dependence Treatment Educational Module
This is the first module that provides tobacco dependence treatment training (TDT) in Arabic through distance learning. It aims at providing workers in the healthcare field with the basic training on TDT skills through an innovative online tool.
This module was developed and adapted to Arabic by Global Bridges, the University of Toronto Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, and King Hussein Cancer Center.
At the end of this introductory module you will:
1. understand the different types of tobacco products, the neurobiology of tobacco dependence, and  health consequences of tobacco use,
2. be able to provide basic assistance to those willing to quit.
