Early Detection Clinic

About the Early Detection Clinic:
The Screening and Early Detection Clinic at KHCC was first initiated in 1999 as two separate clinics for male and female screening. The majority of patients were participants of the Cancer Care Program, a cancer treatment coverage program established by the King Hussein Cancer Foundation. With time, the number of patients increased and varied.

The majority of patients are cash payers who visit the clinic regularly for routine screening purposes—mainly for cancers of the breast, cervix, skin, testicles, prostate, and colon. The clinic is equipped with a mammography unit as well as a laboratory that serves the customers of the unit.

In 2011, the Screening and Early Detection Unit relocated to a building separate from the KHCC main building. It is now located a block away behind the site of the KHCC new expansion, which is currently under construction.
