Child-to-Child Support Group (MA’AK)

This group was established in August 2007 to provide support and encouragement to children treated at KHCC and their families. The group’s objectives are to exchange experiences between former and current child patients, providing psychological support and helping to engage families in treatment.

This group is vital for the psychological well-being of our pediatric patients and their families.

Knowing that another child has already undergone similar cancer treatments and was able to defeat their cancer, Ma'ak members help children treated at KHCC, and their families, overcome their fears. They act as a light of hope, raising spirits and providing much-needed encouragement for our young patients. It is indeed therapeutic for these children to meet, play, and talk openly about their experiences with cancer.
