Making an appointment
For patients seeking an appointment, the Patients’ Affairs Office must be contacted. This Office aims to provide a one-point contact for all patients who will undergo treatment at KHCC. An Appointment Officer will assist patients in identifyng the appropriate physician and coordinate multiple appointments as needed.
The Office can be contacted by telephone at +9626-5300460 ext 1527 or email at info@khcc.jo, or simply enter the main building at KHCC and ask the reception clerk for directions.
The Office will direct you to the Medical Hematology Oncology screening clinic and a nurse will call you within 24 hours of submitting your papers to the Office to schedule an appointment.
Please note that diagnosed and undiagnosed patients are equally welcome. Our clinic is capable of doing everythiing needed to establish an accurate diagnosis.
Regular business and clinic hours at KHCC are Saturday – Wednesday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
It is always important to bring the following items with you on your first visit to KHCC:
a. A medical report from the physician who treated and diagnosed you with cancer prior to arriving at KHCC.
b. All recent X-rays and other imaging tests that were performed pertaining to your condition. This may help our team to prevent additional unnecessary images and/or testing.
c. Pathology reports and material. When cancer is suspected, the first procedure is to be performed is usually a “biopsy” where a piece of tissue is taken for diagnosis. Once the biopsy is received at the lab, it is fixed in paraffin to be processed and stored for long time. It is customary for labs to keep these materials for years to come. When you come to KHCC, it is important that you bring this “paraffin block” along with the report. This will help us in confirming the diagnosis without repeating the diagnostic procedure.
d. Personal identification papers that may help in expediting the process of opening a medical file.
e. A form of payment. A small fee, approximately JD 25, may be required for the first visit and the opening of a patient chart.
